The trailers first shot is a very wide shot, this type of shot is a perfect way to start the trailer as it gives the audience knowledge of where the movies plot is taking place and where the movie will be set. The voice over at the beginning of the trailer gives the audience an insight into the plot and also the main character and his potential motives.
One thing that i find so interesting about this trailer is the colour, the trailers seems to make the setting look pale look the colour is being pulled out of most distinctively at the start of the trailer where its black and white. This colour scheme for the start of the trailer puts more focus on this being a flash back and a memory.
The music in trailer is something of an inspiration for myself for when i come to making my trailer as it always seems to be building to something constantly leaving the audience in suspense and making them feel what could happen next. This music i believe acts parallel with the trailer itself as your constantly left wondering what could happen or what will happen as in terms of plot your not really let onto much leaving you guessing and giving the trailer a truly mysterious vibe.
Editing in the trailer is mostly slow paced editing leaning on the mysterious feel on the trailer.
The end of trailer is something that i really liked with it ending with the main character in danger leaving the viewer in suspense and on a cliffhanger bringing hype and anticipation to the movie overall.
The one aspect that really pulled me into this trailer is its use of a song within the trailer, using songs in trailer is somethings thats becoming increasingly regular within trailers and is something this particular trailer does superbly. The song adds to the mysterious feel of the trailer with its slow sombre tone with some of the lyrics blending well and suiting the trailer itself.
This is the sort of trailer that i believe will influence me in not only what type of trailer genre i will do but actually how my trailer feels and looks. How this trailer influences me is how no matter what part of the trailer your on your always left in suspense and guessing what could happen next.
