Although this particular trailer isn't in the genre that i am looking to create i still wanted to look into the trailer because first it is a trailer that has picked up a lot of main stream attention but more importantly it has a lot of conventions that i interested me and i liked so i decided to look into this trailer so not only i can deepen my understanding of trailers over all but also to find some aspects that could help me in the creation of my own trailer.

Cinematography is something that really stood out to me for this trailer and is something that really pulled me towards this trailer. Although not a major aspect i believe the setting is really important because it can make the movie seem that much more real, spectacular and beautiful. This is something that is perfectly displayed in this trailer with beautiful colour and scenery adding to the spectacular scenery and feel of the trailer. This is something i would of course want to correspond over to my trailer to make the setting and cinematography really stand out and looks as real as possible so that the trailer ultimately looks good and so adds to everything and makes the trailer stand out.

The colour is something that i really liked especially with the scene of the main antagonist. I picked this out especially because of the pure red that is in the background. The colour looks really impactful  and makes the character star out but also conveys the badness about him and how he is an antagonist within the film. So therefore i really liked this and it did inspire me for how i could use it for maybe using a light background and then a dark character to show some story etc. This is then juxtaposed with the scene straight after this with really natural and bright colours which is used for one of the main protagonists this is Cleary a comparison to show the audiences who is good and bad and who to support and who not too.  So i really liked this technique of colour because its a good use of representation for the characters but to also make a really good scene and shot.

Another strong aspect that i did like from this trailer was its use of camera work. There is a variety of shots used to convey different moods and scenes such as various establishing shots to show characters and scenes.  There was two camera shots however that did stick out to me in particular and these shots were used towards the end of the trailer in its climatic moments. The first one was of the main protagonist of the trailer. It is shot as a close up of the characters face and shows half of her face in light colour but the other half is displayed in darkness. I thought this was really effective because it creates a sense of mysterious and suspense for the audience as the trailer finishes and  gives them something to really think about like is there something they do not know about the character is their some darkness to her can she be bad. Another shot i really did like was also in the climatic moments as it shows the main protagonist in peril which creates worry for the audience as they will wonder what will happen to their main character and if she really is in danger creating further excitement for the trailer. A final came as the final shot of the trailer and was another close up. It shows the main antagonists hand clearly supposedly offering help to someone. What makes this so impactful is that it really leaves the audience guessing and wondering and in shock because they will be questioning whether the antagonist is becoming good or whether the main protagonist is actually going to join the main villain which draws excitement and anticipation for the trailer something i really liked. This is something i really liked within the trailer and is defiantly something i will look to include in my own trailer especially with the shots of the colours of the face.

Sound is also a really strong aspect of the trailer as for the most part there is alot of diegetic narration that goes on. This creates mystery as the audience will want to know where in the movie this narration fits and so who is the person talking to and why. Thus creating suspense and mystery for the trailer.  Another part i really liked was the ending when the titles appeared. I liked how it was really strong music creating a impactful finish that is really going to connect with the audiences and keep them excited for the full film. But the music that is used is familiar music, music that is used alot in the star wars movies which furthers the excitement as it uses nostalgia to excite the fans. So my first point is something that i really liked about using a really strong soundtrack to end the trailer as it generates more impact and suspense and intensity from the trailer and is going to be something that you are going to remember.

Editing is also superbly done within the trailer as within the first 30 seconds there is a fade cut, fast paced editing and slow paced editing all making different feels the audiences. When the fast paced editing kicks in its normally to get in a load of different shots very quickly. I liked this technique as it meant that the audience couldn't concentrate too much on a particular scene so nothing would be overly spoiled for them but also make it more impactful and exciting for the viewer.
